ProFlex Physical Therapy, powered by Areté Health, is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator in Gaithersburg, MD. You’ll greet patients, coordinate appointments, verify benefits, and support collections while collaborating with the Clinic Director and therapists to ensure a smooth, positive patient experience.

This patient-facing role balances hospitality with administrative duties, aiming for measurable performance goals and an outstanding clinic experience under the Areté Health umbrella.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
• Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Comfort discussing financial responsibilities and collecting patient payments.
• Strong computer proficiency and experience using an EMR/EHR system.
• Ability to work toward measurable performance goals and contribute to clinic success.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors, creating a warm, professional experience.
• Coordinate appointments, rescheduling, and proactive patient outreach.
• Verify insurance benefits and communicate patient financial responsibilities; collect copays/deductibles/balances.
• Follow up on patient balances via phone, text, and email with professionalism.
• Partner with Clinic Director and therapists to maintain full schedules and support care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient information in the EHR and scheduling systems.
