Job summary

ProFlex Physical Therapy in Leonardtown, MD, is seeking a Part-time Patient Experience Coordinator to welcome patients, coordinate appointments, and support billing and collections. You will work closely with the Clinic Director and therapists to ensure a positive patient journey from first visit through finish of care.

You should be organized, personable, and comfortable discussing financial responsibilities while utilizing the EMR/EHR system to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors, creating a warm, professional, and positive experience from the moment they walk through the door.
  • Coordinate appointments, rescheduling, and proactive patient outreach to help patients stay consistent with their prescribed treatment plans.
  • Verify insurance benefits, communicate patient financial responsibilities, and collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
  • Follow up on patient balances through phone, text, and email with professionalism and empathy.
  • Partner with the Clinic Director and therapists to maintain full schedules, fill appointment openings, and support patients in completing their plans of care.
  • Maintain accurate patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) and scheduling systems to support smooth daily clinic operations.

Patient Experience Coordinator (Part-time)

ProFlex Physical Therapy, powered by Areté Health, is looking for a Part-time Patient Experience Coordinator to join our team in Leonardtown, MD.

You’ll be the first friendly face our patients see and an important part of keeping the clinic running smoothly. From welcoming patients and coordinating appointments to supporting collections and helping patients stay on track with their treatment plans, you’ll work closely with the Clinic Director and therapists to create a positive experience from their first visit through their final appointment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and making a meaningful impact in a part‑time role.

What you’ll want to know

  • Compensation: $18.00-$22.00 based on experience plus applicable performance incentives.
  • Schedule: Part-time, onsite.
  • Location: ProFlex Physical Therapy | Leonardtown, MD. This is an onsite position.
  • Work environment: Outpatient physical therapy clinic where you’ll manage front‑office operations, patient scheduling, and collections while working closely with the Clinic Director and clinical team. This is a patient‑facing role that balances hospitality with administrative responsibilities and measurable performance goals.
