Job summary

Community Care Physicians is seeking a full-time Patient Support Specialist for our Albany Family Medicine office. This 40-hour/week role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a $1,000 recruitment/retention bonus potential.

Primary duties include greeting patients, answering calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining patient flow in a medical office setting. Previous medical clerical experience and strong computer skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; additional education desirable.
• Experience in a medical office preferred.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients on arrival.
• Manage incoming calls/messages per office policy.
• Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups per protocol.
• Obtain patient signatures for waivers per insurance requirements.
• Maintain provider daily schedule and patient flow.
• Verify insurance/demographic information at visits.
