Job summary

Community Care Physicians is seeking a full-time Patient Support Specialist for our Albany Family Medicine office. The role is a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a recruitment and retention bonus opportunity up to $1,000.

The ideal candidate brings strong customer service skills and prior medical office experience. Responsibilities include greeting patients, handling calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining the provider's daily schedule

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education desirable.
• Prior clerical experience in a medical practice preferred.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and checking in patients upon arrival.
• Process incoming calls/messages per office policy.
• Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups.
• Verify insurance and update demographics as needed.
• Organize and monitor the provider's daily schedule and patient flow.
