Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 2 to support a physician's office or clinic. You will handle check-in/check-out, appointments, insurance verification and patient inquiries, contributing to high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role also involves assisting with training junior staff and ensuring accurate data entry and payment processing. This is an on-site position located in Texas with benefits supporting your wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a health-care or front desk role preferred.
• Excellent listening and communication skills with a professional phone manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and visitors with check-in and check-out procedures.
• Schedule appointments and verify insurance information.
• Enter patient data accurately and maintain records in the system.
• Accept payments for services and manage basic financial transactions.
• Respond to routine inquiries and direct patients to appropriate areas.
• Support training and mentoring of junior staff as needed.
