Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and seamless coordination with the care team. You will anticipate needs, communicate clearly, and maintain a high-quality patient experience throughout visits.

This full-time, on-site role emphasizes efficient scheduling, accuracy in EMR, and strong collaboration with clinicians to support optimal care delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a focus on patient-centered service.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and contribute to solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules.
• Confirm and remind appointments to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter demographics in EMR.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare patient charts and docs ahead of visits.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; assist with billing.
• Monitor daily patient flow and adjust schedules to avoid bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support recall and reactivation outreach.
