Job summary

AEG is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support front desk operations, patient flow, and schedule optimization across the care team. You will anticipate needs, communicate clearly, and proactively manage daily schedules to deliver high-quality patient experiences.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, confidentiality, and the ability to coordinate with clinicians and staff to ensure smooth patient transitions and timely care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a focus on patient-centered service.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; primary point of contact.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage email communications.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules.
• Confirm and remind appointments to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter data in EMR.
• Explain insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation before visits.
• Collect charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor daily patient flow and adjust schedules.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure smooth transitions.
• Support retention via follow-up and recall.
• Maintain an organized front office environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
