AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk tasks, patient flow, and cross-team coordination, ensuring a high-quality patient experience. You will support schedule optimization and accurate EMR data entry.

The role emphasizes proactive communication, insurance verification, and collaboration with clinicians to maintain smooth patient transitions and care continuity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR/practice management systems.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Ability to identify issues and contribute to solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintains patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider calendars; handle cancellations and reschedules.
• Confirm and remind appointments to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics; enter data in EMR.
• Explain insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation ahead of visits.
• Support patient retention through recalls and follow-ups.
• Maintain organized, clean front office; assist as needed.
