Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System Liberty Clinic is seeking a Patient Service Representative to manage front desk operations, greet patients, verify demographics, process insurance and copays, and support MyChart and EMR tasks for daily appointments.

You will schedule visits (in person and telehealth), assist with check-in/out, coordinate referrals, and help the care team prepare for the day, ensuring a smooth, patient-centered experience across ambulatory care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Visit: schedule internal and external referrals and coordinate appointments.
• During Visit: perform high-volume front desk check-in/out and phone reception per health system standards.
• Post-Visit: schedule follow-up orders and ensure patient itinerary per provider orders.
• Assist patients with MyChart activation and online check-in processes.
• Maintain accurate registration documentation and EMR scanning workflows.
