Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a PRN Patient Service Representative to support ambulatory clinic operations in Liberty Township. You will greet and check in patients, assist with MyChart activation, verify insurance, and schedule follow-ups to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Responsibilities include pre-visit scheduling, handling high-volume phone reception, and maintaining registration documentation in the EMR system.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1+ years of customer service or health care experience.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• College coursework towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Clerical, registration and/or customer service experience within a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Visit Scheduling: schedule internal and external referrals.
• Schedules in person, telehealth visits, surgeries, procedures and/or ancillary services.
• Registers patients during scheduling including demographics and insurance verification.
• Assists patients with MyChart activation and online check-in support.
• High-volume front desk check-in/out and phone reception during visits.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and coordinates patient itineraries.
