SunState Medical Specialists is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to provide administrative support to staff, patients and physicians, ensuring high-quality, professional service. You will handle patient flow, inquiries, and medical records while supporting billing processes and referrals.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma and experience in a busy medical administration setting, with strong organization and communication skills. Travel to other centers may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in an administrative role within a busy, customer-focused environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing systems and related funding mechanisms.
• Ability to use clinical administration systems as well as Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and general support to staff, patients, and physicians to ensure a high quality, professional administrative service.
• Direct patient flow, monitor waiting areas, and respond to inquiries while upholding privacy policies.
• Maintain patient records accurately and ensure completeness of documentation for appointments and visits.
• Schedule physician appointments based on availability and appropriate timeframes; assist with admissions and discharges as needed.
• Register new patients promptly and ensure accurate personal and billing details; manage referrals and documentation.
