Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of related experience in a medical practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-service focus.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, management, and providers.
• Experience using EMR systems and basic Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Schedules office and hospital-based procedures and tests.
• Performs pre-procedural confirmations and provides patients with test information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and obtains benefits or prior authorizations when needed (72-hour window).
• Scans and attaches test results and documents to EMR.
• Coordinates with vendors and hospital staff to ensure equipment and attendance for procedures.
