Job summary

Capyear is seeking a Patient Service Representative 2 to provide essential administrative support under supervision. You will be the first point of contact for patients and families, handling registrations, scheduling, billing inquiries, and MyChart assistance.

Ensure necessary authorizations are obtained before visits and assist with check-in/check-out to maintain smooth operations. The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with experience in healthcare

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 1 year of healthcare experience required (Vision, Dental and Veterinary included).
• At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Experience with patients and providers, using Epic EHR preferred.
• Experience handling busy phone lines is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, families, and external partners.
• Handle registration, scheduling, and billing inquiries; assist with MyChart.
• Secure required authorizations before appointments; support check-in/check-out procedures.
• Collect payments and update patient demographics; maintain accuracy in records.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve issues and improve care quality.
• Assist in orienting new staff and support other departments to boost operational efficiency.
