Valley Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our ambulatory care team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, offering excellent service and accurate scheduling to optimize care and provider efficiency.

You will collect demographic and financial information, perform registration tasks in Epic, handle payments, and respond to inquiries with a courteous, professional approach. Strong communication and data-entry accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple demands.
• Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient appointments following clinic guidelines and offer alternative providers or locations when needed.
• Greet patients warmly and support the care team with timely information and communication.
• Collect demographic and financial information and ensure accurate data entry in the Epic system.
• Handle payments accurately and balance cash drawer per policy.
• Respond to phone inquiries and relay messages clearly using the Epic system.
