Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients within the physicians’ network. The role emphasizes excellent patient experience through friendly interactions, accurate scheduling, and precise data collection in the Epic system.

Primary duties include appointment scheduling, registration, payments, and telephone support to ensure timely care and smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong computer, customer service and communication skills required.
• Interpersonal skills to work with diverse people within and outside organization required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules outpatient appointments following clinic guidelines and offers alternate providers or locations as needed.
• Receives and greets patients, ensures necessary documents are provided, and communicates delays to the care team.
• Assists with outpatient registration, demographics & financial information in the Epic system to ensure accurate data capture.
• Collects payments and balances cash drawer through daily verification processes.
• Answers phones promptly with a professional greeting and takes clear messages using the Epic system.
• Manages health information requests and directs records accordingly while maintaining confidentiality.
