Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management seeks a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and families. The role focuses on accurate patient registration, scheduling coordination, and guiding patients through MyChart enrollment.

You will check patients in and out, answer phones, and enter demographic, insurance, and payment information while supporting the care team and revenue cycle. Adherence to PHI policies is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience handling patient check-in and check-out processes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities with patients and families.
• Experience enrolling patients in MyChart and updating demographic/insurance data.
• Ability to collect payments and coordinate with billing and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for visits and manage scheduling inquiries.
• Answer phones and assist with scheduling and patient questions.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment and navigation.
• Enter and validate patient demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Coordinate with care teams and provide information to colleagues as needed.
• Support referrals, EPIC worklists, and document scanning.
• Maintain PHI security and comply with UH policies.
