Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians,Inc. is seeking a Patient Service Representative for River's Edge Pediatrics.

You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a positive experience for patients and guests during visits, including in-person, telehealth, and phone interactions. Responsibilities include registration, insurance verification, collecting copays, scheduling follow-ups, and coordinating with clinical staff to meet office needs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage time effectively and respond to patients/visitors timely.
• Strong HIPAA knowledge and patient privacy awareness.
• Able to work independently and in a team; lead by example.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients have a positive experience during their visit, whether in-person, telehealth and/or over the phone.
• Communicate regularly with clinical staff to ensure patients and office needs are met; collaborate with the team.
• Greet patients and complete check-in procedures; handle registration and insurance verification.
• Collect copays, deductibles and/or outstanding balances.
• Check out patients, schedule follow-up appointments, and communicate items at checkout.
• Answer calls and emails; direct or escalate inquiries as needed; arrange appointment reminders.
• Perform clerical tasks: mail, filing, scanning, scheduling, data entry, and general office support.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient data and HIPAA compliance.
