Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians, Inc. seeks a Patient Service Representative to serve as the front-line contact for patients at our Gahanna, OH practice. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect payments and schedule follow-ups, ensuring a smooth flow from arrival to departure.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
• Required: High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and complete established check-in procedures, including data entry and insurance verification.
• Collect copays, deductibles and/or outstanding balances.
• Check patients out and schedule follow-up appointments; convey necessary items at check-out.
• Answer phone calls and emails from patients and COPC departments; direct inquiries as needed.
• Provide clerical support such as mail distribution, filing, scanning, scheduling and data input.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient data and HIPAA compliance.
