Eyecare Associates of East Texas is seeking a Patient Coordinator in Tyler, TX. This role acts as the first point of contact, ensuring an excellent patient experience and handling check-in/out procedures with accuracy.

The Patient Coordinator will greet patients, answer phones, manage flow, collect payments, and support daily office operations. The position emphasizes patient-focused service and teamwork within ophthalmology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related experience or training.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to handle cash and collect payments accurately.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Answer phones and assure prompt, courteous service at all times.
• Practice urgency with patients’ time and Doctor’s schedule.
• Manage patient flow in the office.
• Collect correct payments and perform daily reconciliations / close day / cash drawer.
• Complete general office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager.
