Eyecare Associates of East Texas in Tyler, TX is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists in preliminary testing and patient prep. You will interact with patients, doctors, and staff, perform diagnostic tests, and ensure accurate EMR documentation. The role requires compassion, reliability, and strong communication.

EPA: Strong clinical workflow, HIPAA compliance, and a team-oriented attitude are essential. Training provided; full-time schedule; benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training required.
• COA or COT certification preferred.
• Proficient in EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients professionally and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Assist doctors and facilitate clinic flow.
• Record patient data in EMR and verify information.
• Perform preliminary testing and various eye tests (e.g., OCT, visual fields).
• Keep rooms clean and stocked; manage supplies.
