You will greet patients, handle calls and emails, confirm appointments, and support seamless transitions between clinical and optical teams while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in EMR.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors in a friendly, professional manner as the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage email or digital communications promptly.
• Schedule patient appointments and support provider schedule optimization including cancellations and reschedules.
• Run appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics; enter data in EMR.
• Explain insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation for visits.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; manage balances and claims.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to avoid bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support retention through follow-up and recall for appointments.
• Maintain an organized front desk and assist as needed.
