Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR/PM systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for patient-centered service.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as primary point of contact for interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider calendars, handle cancellations.
• Send confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows and prepare patients.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics in EMR.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibilities clearly.
• Prepare charts and documents ahead of visits to support flow.
• Record charges, collect payments, and assist with claim submission.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and schedules, adjust as needed for efficiency.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for continuity of care.
• Support retention efforts through recalls and follow-ups.
• Maintain an organized, clean front office and assist as needed.
