Urology Associates P.C. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Medical Receptionist / Surgical Scheduler to warmly greet patients, check them in, and manage referrals for scheduling consultations and procedures.

You will handle front desk duties, verify insurance, coordinate with billing, and use EMR and phone systems to arrange appointments, ensuring accuracy and patient satisfaction in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of medical scheduling experience.
• English; bilingual preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet callers warmly and serve as the first point of contact for patients.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and manage phone systems (e.g., RingCentral).
• Perform front desk duties, including cross-training and maintaining punctual, reliable coverage.
• Process incoming referrals and proactively contact patients to schedule appointments.
• Schedule consults and procedures while accurately collecting and updating demographic and insurance information.
• Confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments as needed.
• Use EMR systems and the Patient Tracker to align provider availability with patient needs.
• Perform patient check-in and check-out, including insurance verification, referrals, and collections.
• Discuss insurance benefits with patients and coordinate with the billing team as needed.
• Prepare and maintain required reports (e.g., sedation reports).
• Communicate effectively with providers, staff, and external offices regarding scheduling and patient needs.
• Address patient concerns professionally and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
