Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our on-site team. You will manage front desk operations, support patient flow, and coordinate across care teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include scheduling, confirmations, insurance verification, EMR data entry, and billing support. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in a fast-paced eye-care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR/practice systems.
• Strong communication and patient-centered service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors in a friendly, professional manner as the primary contact.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage email or digital communications promptly.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider calendars, handle cancellations and reschedules.
• Confirm appointments and send reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and demographics; enter data in EMR accurately.
• Explain insurance coverage and patient financial responsibilities to patients.
• Prepare charts and documentation ahead of visits for efficient flow.
• Enter charges, collect co-pays/payments, and support billing and claims.
• Run reports to ensure billing is up to date; monitor patient flow and adjust schedules as needed.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to maintain a positive experience.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth care transitions.
• Support retention with recall and reactivation outreach for appointments.
• Keep front office organized, clean, and patient-ready.
