Job summary

AEG Vision, LLC is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support front desk operations and coordinate patient flow across the care team. You will optimize schedules, manage cancellations, and ensure a smooth experience for every patient.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors, serving as the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, inquiries, and manage email communications promptly.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules, including cancellations and reschedules.
• Run appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter patient data in EMR accurately.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibility to patients.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation before visits.
• Process charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; manage balances.
• Run and review reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to reduce bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for seamless visits.
• Support recall and reactivation outreach for ongoing care.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Practice Manager/Optometrist.
