Job summary

EyeCare Partners subsidiary Grand Rapids Ophthalmology is seeking a Patient Coordinator to be the first contact for patients and set the tone for visits with excellent care. You will handle check-in/out and perform essential administrative duties to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role offers full-time hours, with benefits including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k with match, PTO and holidays, and paid maternity leave.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum Required: One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Answer phones (external and internal) and assure prompt, courteous service.
• Practice urgency at all times with patients’ time and schedules.
• Manage patient flow in the office and assist with check-in/out.
• Knowledge of common visit fees and collect correct payments.
• Complete daily reconciliations/close day/cash drawer.
• Perform general office duties as assigned by manager.
