Key duties include greeting patients, answering calls and emails, scheduling, verifying insurance, entering data in EMR, and assisting with billing and collections while maintaining patient confidentiality and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational and communication skills with patient-centered service.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers and vendors; primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule patient appointments and support provider scheduling; manage cancellations and reschedules.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics; enter data in EMR.
• Communicate coverage and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation ahead of visits.
• Collect and record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; assist with claims.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust as needed to optimize efficiency.
