Job summary

Stanton Optical is seeking a Doctor’s Technician-focused associate to greet patients, assist with exams, and bridge the gap between clinical and retail teams. You will deliver exceptional service, support sales, and help ensure a smooth patient journey from check-in to eyewear delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or advanced certification beyond high school, or currently enrolled in a comparable program.
• 2+ years of experience delivering outstanding customer service to patients or customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
• Active listening, rapport-building, and empathy with patients.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive handling of concerns.
• Collaborative, respectful teamwork with colleagues and patients.
• Results-driven with multitasking and flexibility in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers as they enter the store, identify needs to ensure a memorable experience while promoting products and services available.
• Foster a strong partnership between the retail team and professional services.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, enter patient history, complete noncontact tonometry, auto refraction, visual acuity, color test, and other tests.
• Assist management with patient complaint resolution and inform status of all jobs; meet patient expectations.
• Maintain brand standards by performing basic housekeeping duties when necessary.
• Assist with simple customer repairs, lens edging, and accurate order delivery.
• Monitor lab area issues and report equipment malfunctions or order problems.
• Track delivery times to patients to ensure 100% compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
