Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Medical Business Associate (Receptionist) to be the first point of contact for patients and their families. You will verify patient and insurance information and enter it into the registration system accurately.

You will schedule appointments, greet patients professionally, and respond effectively to patients and their families, ensuring a smooth patient experience and accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year Customer Service experience required. Usually achieved by previously working with the public with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in typing, Windows, and experience with multiple computer systems.

Responsibilities

• You are the first point of contact for patients & their families.
• You will obtain/verify all required patient and insurance information and enter the information into the registration system accurately.
• You will schedule patient appointments which may include return office visits, referrals, diagnostic testing/procedures.
• You will greet patients professionally in person and over the telephone and respond effectively to patients and their families.
