Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years healthcare experience required.
• Experience in a customer service role required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manages schedules to optimize use of providers, rooms, and equipment.
• Performs schedule maintenance and coordinates care alternatives for patients.
• Communicates with patients and staff to ensure adherence to treatment plans.
• Assists Practice Manager with data collection and analysis of physician productivity and resource use.
• Facilitates resolution/prevention of billing errors and denials; obtains pre-certifications or referrals as needed.
• Registers patients and schedules or coordinates appointment timing.
• Provides patient education information and/or materials as needed.
• Maintains strong relationships with patients, providers, staff, and external departments and vendors.
• Answers inquiries from patients, providers, staff and others about practice operations.
• Conducts follow-up with patients to ensure compliance with tests, prescriptions, and care plan.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
