Northwestern Medicine Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Patient Liaison to oversee the patient experience and advocate for patients within a multi-hospital system. This part-time role emphasizes scheduling, communication, and coordination of care across departments.

You will work with a collaborative team to support providers, manage patient education, and help ensure adherence to treatment plans while navigating billing and referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years previous healthcare experience.
• Experience in a customer service role.

Responsabilités

• Manages schedules to optimize resources (providers, rooms, equipment).
• Performs schedule maintenance such as opening/closing clinic templates and coordinates care alternatives.
• Communicates with patients and staff to ensure adherence to treatment plans.
• Assists Practice Manager with data collection and analysis of physician productivity and resource utilization.
• Facilitates resolution/prevention of billing errors and denials, including obtaining pre-certifications or referrals.
• Registers patients and schedules appointments.
• Provides patient education information and materials.
• Maintains relationships with patients, providers, staff and vendors.
• Answers inquiries related to practice operations.
• Conducts follow-up with patients to ensure compliance with tests and care plan.
