Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Patient Liaison in Chicago to enhance the patient experience and ensure optimal use of practice resources. You will be a resource to patients and staff, advocating for patients and guiding them through care processes.

Your role includes coordinating schedules, communicating with clinical teams, and assisting in data collection to analyze productivity and resource utilization. A customer-service mindset and healthcare exposure are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years healthcare experience required.
• Experience in a customer service role is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service experience for all patients and optimize use of practice resources.
• Establish strong relationships with patients and staff, provide information, and advocate as needed.
• Manage schedules to maximize resources including providers, rooms, and equipment.
• Perform schedule maintenance and coordinate care alternatives for patients impacted by changes.
• Communicate with patients and staff to ensure adherence to treatment plans.
• Assist Practice Manager with data collection and analysis related to physician productivity.
• Help resolve/b prevent billing errors and denials, obtain pre-certifications or referrals as needed.
• Register patients and schedule or coordinate appointments.
• Provide patient education information and materials as needed.
• Maintain strong relationships with patients, providers, staff, and external departments.
