Children's Orthopaedic and Scoliosis Surgery Associates, LLP in Tampa, FL is seeking a friendly front desk receptionist to welcome patients and families, answer phones, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate patient accounts.

The role involves performing insurance verification, eligibility checks, and charging entries in EMR systems. You will support AR follow-up, clinic operations, and collaborate with a close-knit team to ensure smooth clinic flows; bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Interpret and understand medical benefits with focus on EOB statements
• Experience in charge entry, insurance verification, and benefit collections preferred
• Strong customer service skills in a high-volume setting
• Proficiency with EMR systems (Athena/EPIC/Phreesia or similar) and related programs
• Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Serve as welcoming first point of contact for patients and families
• Answer phones, manage high call volumes, and schedule appointments
• Create, update, and maintain accurate patient accounts
• Perform insurance verification and benefit eligibility checks
• Process point-of-service collections and charge entry into EMR systems
• Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and benefit collections
• Support clinic preparation and day-to-day administrative operations
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and providers
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic flows
