Job summary

Children's Orthopaedic and Scoliosis Surgery Associates, LLP is seeking a friendly front desk receptionist to greet patients and families and support daily clinic operations in Florida. You will answer calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance benefits, process charges in our EMR system, and assist with accounts receivable while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of EOB statements and Spanish language is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required).
• Experience with insurance verification and benefit collections.
• Proficiency with EMR systems (Athena/EPIC/Phreesia or similar).
• Strong customer service in high-volume settings.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as welcoming first point of contact for patients and families.
• Answer phones, manage high call volumes, and schedule appointments.
• Create, update, and maintain accurate patient accounts.
• Perform insurance verification and benefit eligibility checks.
• Process point-of-service collections and charge entry into EMR.
• Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and benefit collections.
• Support clinic preparation and day-to-day operations.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and providers.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic flows.
