Clarkson Eyecare in Loveland, OH is seeking a Front Office Specialist to be the first point of contact, setting the tone for a world-class Total Patient Experience. This role also handles essential administrative tasks to ensure a smooth check-in/out process for patients.

The position emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service, professional presentation, accurate scheduling, insurance checks, and cash handling, with HIPAA compliance and general office duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum in a customer-facing role.
• Background check must be favorable as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States required.
• Previous medical office/optometry/ophthalmology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact and set the tone for patients and the Total Patient Experience.
• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Greet patients promptly with a smile and thank them when they leave.
• Answer phones (external and internal) and ensure courteous service at all times.
• Exercise urgency with respect to patient and doctor time and schedule.
• Double check insurance authorizations to ensure completion and accurate flow sheets.
• Check out patients and collect correct payments according to procedures.
• Manage patient flow and communicate to maximize efficiency and service.
• Complete daily reconciliations and close out the day, counting cash drawer.
• Comply with HIPAA and all company policies; perform general office duties as assigned.
