Clarkson Eyecare in Wildwood, MO seeks a Front Office Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients and handle administrative tasks that support a smooth check-in/out process.

No medical/eyecare experience required; training is provided. The role includes greeting patients, answering calls, handling payments, and coordinating patient flow with a focus on HIPAA compliance and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; optometry/ophthalmology exposure strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a role involving customer/patient interaction.
• Background check as required by state; proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world class Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients.
• Provide exceptional customer service in person or on the phone.
• Greet patients professionally and thank them at checkout.
• Answer external and internal calls and ensure courteous service.
• Assist with insurance authorizations to maintain accurate flow sheets.
• Check out patients and collect payments per procedures.
• Manage patient flow and communicate to maximize efficiency and service.
• Complete daily reconciliations, close day, and count cash drawer.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies; perform general office duties as assigned.
