Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care seeks a Patient Service Representative for Polaris Parkway Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in Westerville, OH. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling check-in, registration, insurance verification, and scheduling with courtesy and professionalism.

This on-site role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, strong communication, and teamwork with clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience across in-person and telehealth visits.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare related setting.
• Required: High School diploma or GED; or at least six (6) months customer service or healthcare experience

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and complete established check-in procedures upon arrival.
• Register patients and verify insurance information.
• Collect copays, deductibles and/or outstanding balances.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and communicate necessary items at time of check out.
• Answer phone calls and email inquiries; route or escalate when needed.
• Complete clerical tasks and support front desk staff, including data entry and file management.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient data and HIPAA compliance.
• Handle EPIC duties and coordinate referrals as needed.
