RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a patient services representative to support MG Orthopedics North in Morristown. This hourly role focuses on delivering an exceptional patient experience through accurate scheduling, efficient front-desk operations, and strong team collaboration.

The ideal candidate brings customer-service excellence, clear communication, and attention to detail. Prior medical office experience and familiarity with EMR systems are preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required,

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience.
• Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Experience as a medical receptionist or general office staff is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and performs check-in/check-out with professionalism and compassion.
• Review schedules and prepare for patient visits; ensure information is complete.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-ups as needed.
• Answer routine questions in person and by phone, delivering excellent customer service.
• Perform clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, faxing, sorting, and mail distribution.
• Create, maintain, and organize patient health records.
• Coordinate with insurance providers and handle pre-authorizations as necessary.
• Protect patient privacy and contribute to a safe, welcoming practice environment.
