Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support a Blackwood practice with front desk duties and patient flow. The role requires strong communication, accuracy, and teamwork to ensure smooth visits and accurate health records.

The PSR will manage check-ins/outs, answer questions, handle basic clerical tasks, and coordinate with insurers for pre-authorizations. A GED or higher is required; healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Associates or Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient check-in and check-out functions.
• Answers routine questions in person and over the telephone.
• Performs basic clerical functions such as copying, scanning, faxing, sorting and distributing mail.
• Creates and maintains health record information, files and organizes as needed.
• Coordinates with insurance providers and handles pre-authorizations and certifications as necessary.
