The Eye Doctors in Manhattan, KS is seeking a Front Office Specialist to be the first point of contact and help create a world-class patient experience. You will handle front desk duties, greet patients, answer calls, verify insurance, collect payments, and support daily office operations in a busy clinical setting.

Previous medical office experience is preferred, with optometry/ophthalmology exposure a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• 1+ year in a customer/patient-facing role or equivalent.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• HIPAA compliance and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Embrace Total Patient Experience to build relationships and deliver great service.
• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter.
• Greet patients promptly with a smile and thank them when they leave.
• Answer phones and ensure courteous service at all times.
• Practice urgency with respect to patient and doctor schedules.
• Verify insurance authorizations and maintain accurate flow sheets.
• Check out patients and collect correct payments.
• Manage patient flow and communicate to maximize efficiency.
• Complete daily reconciliations and close the day/cash drawer.
• Comply with policies, including HIPAA.
• Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned.
