Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet and register patients, provide visit flow information, and coordinate scheduling at the Wareham, MA location. This PRN, as-needed role supports both patient and business processes in our outpatient physical therapy centers.

The position involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments by phone or in person, and handling co-pays, payer approvals, and basic insurance verifications.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year front desk experience is preferred.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and register patients and explain what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with attorneys, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
