SportsMed Physical Therapy in Northern New Jersey seeks a Patient Coordinator to join our front desk team. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, verify benefits, and ensure accurate data entry to keep operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service, professional telephone skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual Spanish is preferred; experience in medical or therapy settings is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Physical therapy environment, medical office, or hospitality focused on customer service.
• Professional telephone skills.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in person or by telephone and answer inquiries.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments to optimize provider time and treatment room utilization.
• Complete insurance verifications.
• Maintain patient records with accurate data entry and confidentiality.
• Notify providers of patient arrivals and delays to keep schedules on track.
• Maintain and update patient accounts with current personal and financial information.
• Record and collect patient charges; manage third-party claims as needed.
• Protect patient rights and data privacy by following confidentiality practices.
• Follow office policies and procedures and report needed changes.
• Contribute to team by achieving related results as needed.
