Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County is seeking a Patient Services Manager to collaborate with leaders, physicians, staff, and volunteers to ensure patient-centered care across the hospital. You will plan, implement, and evaluate patient services programs, address patient and family concerns, and promote high satisfaction with services.

The role also supports education on patient rights, interprets hospital policies, and drives sustainable practices through data analytics and resource sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Must be able to travel between locations within the health system as needed.

Responsibilities

• Enhance patient and family experience by collaborating with leaders, physicians, staff, and volunteers to ensure patient-centered care.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate hospital-wide patient services programs; address patient and family concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Support education on patient rights, interpret hospital policies, and promote sustainable best practices through data analytics and resource sharing.
• Oversee care and management of deceased patients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with physicians on death certification, support families, arrange tissue donations and autopsies, and manage timely release of remains.
• Maintain communication with internal departments and external agencies such as the Coroner's Office, Health Department, and mortuaries; provide training and administrative support to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
