Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator at our Miami Beach facility. This full-time role, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, focuses on delivering exceptional patient experiences and accurate record-keeping.

You will greet patients, manage registrations, verify insurance, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth visits. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong customer service, and attention to detail, with bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• CPR certification may be required for mobile settings.
• Valid state driver's license may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
• Six months of customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers, and visitors in person and by phone.
• Register patients in various systems and verify insurance.
• Answer calls professionally and handle patient payments when due.
• Prepare and organize patient records for appointments and procedures.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in all documentation and care tasks.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate information with clinical staff.
