Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator at our Wellington, FL facility. This full-time role focuses on delivering an excellent patient experience by greeting patients, registering them, handling insurance verifications, and coordinating with clinical staff.

Responsibilities include documenting visits, managing scheduling, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant records across electronic systems. CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification before hire.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Local travel may be required to support multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems.
• Answer phone calls professionally.
• May collect time-of-service payments.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations.
• Prepare and maintain patient records and documentation.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with physicians and staff.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation and communication.
