Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator for our Wellington, FL facility. This full-time role focuses on delivering excellent patient care and coordinating registration, scheduling, and records management. You will verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and support staff across multiple sites.

The position emphasizes HIPAA-compliant documentation, strong customer service, and the ability to work at several locations, with CPR training required before hire and Spanish skills a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certification required prior to hire.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients, customers and visitors in person or over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems.
• Answer calls professionally.
• Verify insurance and obtain prior authorization.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient records.
• Prepare medical records for physicians and staff.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Assist in patient transport and preparation as needed.
