Job summary

Akumin Inc. Rowlett facility is hiring a Patient Coordinator to ensure a positive patient experience. You will greet patients, register them in systems, verify insurance, schedule appointments and provide clear pre/post-procedure instructions.

The role requires a High School Diploma, CPR certification before hire, and a valid driver’s license with local travel as needed. Bilingual Spanish is a plus and HIPAA-compliant record handling is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required prior to hire.
• Valid state driver's license may be required.
• Local travel may be required to support multiple sites.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems and verify information.
• Schedule patient appointments and obtain insurance verification/authorization.
• Provide patient with preliminary and post-procedure instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle records with HIPAA compliance.
