Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Experience representative to provide administrative support to the Complex Surgery unit and ensure excellent patient experiences.

The role involves coordinating services for patients and families, handling communications, and contributing to continuous process improvements while delivering empathetic, responsive service in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service or administrative experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
• High school level education; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient encounters and schedule patients.
• Provide positive customer service supporting unit operations.
• Collaborate with referring providers and practices.
• Obtain authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules.
• Process admissions and discharges; triage calls for urgent information.
• Provide routine clerical support as needed.
