Job summary

SportsMed Physical Therapy in Belleville and Harrison, NJ is seeking a Patient Coordinator to manage front desk tasks, greet patients, and handle scheduling, benefit verification, and data entry. This role supports clinicians and aims to improve patient flow and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced environments with strong customer service.
• Experience in a physical therapy, medical office, or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Bilingual-Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in person or by telephone and answer inquiries.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments to optimize provider time and room utilization.
• Complete insurance verifications and authorizations.
• Maintain patient records by filing and retrieving information.
• Notify providers of patient arrivals and delays, keeping schedules on track.
• Maintain patient accounts with accurate personal and financial details.
• Record and collect patient charges and manage third-party claims.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow privacy policies.
• Support team by following procedures and contributing to results.
