Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy in Winnetka, IL is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator to ensure accurate patient intake, insurance verification, and seamless front-office operations. This role supports compliance and revenue-cycle performance while collaborating with clinical teams.

As part of the clinic team, you will educate patients on financial responsibilities, assist with payments, and use EMR systems to maintain data integrity and drive service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience.
• 1-2 years healthcare administration preferred.
• MS Office, Outlook and Excel experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience with patient payments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and deliver a warm front-office experience.
• Complete patient intake/registration including demographics and eligibility.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and payment options.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling to optimize provider availability.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing and Clinical Operations to resolve issues.
• Use EMR systems and dashboards to track data and improve processes.
• Coordinate communication of patient progress notes to referral sources.
• Organize patient milestone celebrations with the clinical team.
• Participate in training and cross-training to support team flexibility.
